Curriculum included Watercolor instruction and advanced studio classes with Rob Erdle, who in 1995 became the first Western watercolor artist to be invited to exhibit in the Peoples Republic of China since William Turner in 1960. In addition to regular semester courses with Professor Erdle, attended an intensive six week summer painting studio course with him in Switzerland, Venice and Paris which focused on spontaneous interpretation.

Large Scale Watercolor Response

Attended the last Watercolor workshop given by Rob Erdle during his lifetime. Week-long intensive course, focused on response to natural surroundings on site, and large scale (6-8’) painting in studio. Only course of its kind offered in the United States. Learned the rare and unusual techniques associated with painting large scale in the watercolor medium.

GENERAL CREATIVE BACKGROUND

2012 & 2007 United Arts of Central Florida Artist Development Grant Recipient – targeted for public art/major shows and production of large scale watercolor paintings.

Poster Artist for the 2015 56th Annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

Popular demonstrator of watercolor technique to groups/classes of all ages. Improv training/performance experience makes for fun and informative presentations.

32 years professional experience as an accomplished and award winning graphic designer. Work has ranged from national campaigns for Fortune 100 companies, retail packaging, magazine and collateral designto pro-bono design and marketing support for local arts organizations.

Eight years experience in Texas and Florida designing and instructing national touring marching band and drum & bugle corps youth performance groups. Responsibilities included creating show concepts, designing costumes, props and choreography, instruction and staff management, and Director positions which involved managing budgets, schedules and transportation.
